Can we have a kickoff meeting in the next week for this activity, to discuss the objectives and coordinate the work? Darrell (and I'm writing this on his behalf while he's in Bologna this week) suggests including at least Antonio and Jeff and whomever from SiteIPT can speak for the OSF layout - Jorge, are you available? I suggest Dick should attend as well. As a starting point, the OSF holography system should copy that used successfully at ATF and only change where there were problems or to accommodate a different geography. I think the elements which should result from this design are: - physical block diagram for the holography installation at OSF, including transmitter and receiver, cabling, etc. - technical specs for tower, transmitter and receiver (initially about as detailed as in the AEG report holography document, table 1, 2, including tower specs: height, stiffness and location) Notes: - presume at the moment the tower must illuminate one of our three OSF pads, but a goal would be to site the tower in a way that it could also see and illuminate one pad in the contractor area as well. - the contractor assembly area is changed now to one on the south rather than west edge of our land (is this official, Jorge?) - note that our OSF pads are in an excavated area: there are some high berms to the east, they might shadow the antenna aperture. - the photonic transmitter source used at ATF may not be the best choice for OSF. How about Tuesday, 14 June, in the EDT afternoon; would 1300 EDT work? Rick
